SOFT & CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Yields: 24-30 cookies | Prep Time: 30 minutes | Bake Time: 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 12 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chunks

CREATE

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter until smooth.
  2. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until blended.
  3. Mix in the flour and baking soda; fold the batter over itself to fully mix in the dry ingredients. A rubber spatula will help with this.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chunks; chill the dough for 30 minutes. For a more toffee-like flavor, chill overnight. The longer it rests, the more flavor the cookies will have.
  5. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the dough into balls, 1-2 inches circumference. An ice cream scoop is helpful if the dough is very hard. Place the dough on the cookie sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes. Make sure there is 2-4 inches between each, they will flatten and spread.
  6. Cool and enjoy!
