This guac recipe has everything you need to WOW at the next potluck.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Yields: 6 servings
INGREDIENTS
- 3 Hass avocados, cubed
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 sweet (or red) onion, diced
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- OPTION: 1–2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
- OPTION: Dash of cayenne pepper
- OPTION: Red pepper flakes, for spice
Mash your avocados, mix in the tomatoes, onions, and garlic, add your desired spices (salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, cilantro, red pepper flakes). Squeeze in the lime juice and mix it all up well. Sometimes I prefer keeping some avo chunks in there so the occasional bite is heavy in rich avocado flavor. Then dip desired chip and get your salty on!
*Add a glass of sangria for an extra refresher*
TRICK TO PREVENT BROWNING: Pat the guac tight in the Tupperware with a spoon. Cut a piece of plastic wrap that is the size of your tupperware to put on top of the guac. Gently pat the plastic wrap down. When you want to eat it, remove the plastic gently and replace afterwards.
