BUTTER GARLIC HERB BROILED LOBSTER TAIL

Yields: 2 servings | Prep Time: 25 minutes

ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp minced parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sliced lemon (optional)

create

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. Butterfly each lobster tail: With kitchen scissors or shears, cut the meat below the outer shell down the center, ending at the tail. Ensure the shell is separated from the meat and tuck the shell beneath the meat. Place lobster tails on a greased baking sheet.
  3. In small bowl, combine butter and herbs. Brush the butter mixture over the lobster meat, coating evenly.
  4. Broil the lobster tails until the meat is opaque and slightly brown on the top. (145 F internal temperature).
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Enjoy!

TIPS:

* For broiling, you want your rack to be close to the broiler for proper cooking but not so close that it could start on fire. A good rule of thumb is to have the lobster tail about 5 inches from the heat source.
* Another good rule of thumb is to broil for about one minute per ounce of meat.
